Knowledge Base

Using proxies for online games (such as Knight Online, Silkroad, TRSRO, Metin2) is a preferred method by many users. However, the restrictions and banning policies that gaming platforms apply to different IP types make selecting the right proxy type critical.

IP Tracking and Banning Mechanism of Gaming Platforms

Modern online gaming platforms use advanced IP tracking mechanisms as part of their account security and anti-cheat systems. These systems can:

• Detect datacenter IP addresses
• Identify numerous connection attempts from the same IP
• Analyze the historical usage records of IP addresses
• Determine VPN and proxy usage through various techniques
• Automatically flag suspicious behavior patterns

For this reason, gaming platforms may evaluate datacenter-based IP addresses as high-risk and apply restrictions.

Status of LivaProxy Products on Gaming Platforms

IPv4 Proxy Product Group (Datacenter and ISP)

Our Datacenter IPv4 Proxy services are banned on some gaming platforms. In games like Silkroad and TRSRO, these IP types can be detected and may result in account banning.

Although our ISP IPv4 Proxy services run on real carrier infrastructure, restriction lists of some gaming platforms may be up-to-date. Depending on the gaming platform's security systems, these IP addresses may also be detected over time.

Mobile Proxy Services

Our Mobile Proxy services are evaluated at the lowest risk level by gaming platforms because they use real mobile carrier (Turkcell and Türk Telekom) IP addresses. These IP addresses provided through 4G/LTE connections are no different from a regular mobile phone connection.

Mobile Proxy advantages:

• Real mobile device IP addresses
• Carrier-registered, clean IP pool
• Regular address changes with IP rotation feature
• Low risk score by gaming platforms
• Manual or automatic IP renewal option

IPv6 Proxy Services

Our IPv6 Proxy services can be used depending on game servers' IPv6 support. However, many game servers do not yet provide full IPv6 support. Additionally, the reliability assessment of IPv6 addresses by platforms has not yet been fully clarified.

Recommendations for Different Games

Silkroad Online and TRSRO

For Silkroad Online and its Turkish version TRSRO, IPv4 Datacenter proxy addresses are detected by the platform's security systems and may cause account banning. For these games, our Mobile Proxy services are recommended.

Knight Online

Many of our customers successfully use our IPv4 Proxy products for Knight Online. However, as it may vary by server, testing is recommended. For safer usage, Mobile Proxy can be preferred.

Metin2

Metin2 servers may apply different security policies depending on whether they are private or official servers. Generally, ISP IPv4 or Mobile Proxy usage is recommended.

What Can Be Done in Case of IP Banning

If the proxy IP address you are using is detected and banned by the gaming platform:

• You can switch to a different proxy type (from IPv4 to Mobile Proxy)
• If using Mobile Proxy, you can get a new IP with the IP reset feature
• For our ISP IPv4 services, you can try a different carrier option

Important Note: IP bans and restrictions applied by gaming platforms you connect to using the proxy service you purchased are the responsibility of the customer and the platform. No proxy replacement or refund option is offered for these situations. It is recommended that you check compatibility using our test service before ordering.

Testing Process and Pre-Order Check

Before purchasing a proxy for online games:

1. Request a test service (if available) to check compatibility
2. Contact our support team with the game name and server information
3. Test suitability by starting with small packages
4. Try short-term with daily or weekly packages

Important Considerations When Using Proxies for Gaming

• Multiple Account Usage: Logging into multiple accounts from the same IP may pose additional risk
• In-Game Behavior: Proxy usage alone is not a ban reason; your in-game behavior is also important
• Connection Continuity: Constantly changing IPs may be viewed as suspicious by platforms
• Ping and Latency: Low ping values are important for gaming experience; consider this in proxy selection
• Terms of Service: Be careful not to violate the game's terms and conditions
