Proxy Delivery Format and Format Conversion: How to Change IP:Port:Username:Password Template?

The delivery file for proxy services purchased from LivaProxy is provided in a standard format by default. However, you may need to change this format due to different software, platforms, or use case scenarios. In this article, we explain in detail how proxy delivery formats work and how they can be converted to your requested format.

Default Proxy Delivery Format

In LivaProxy services (such as ISP IPv4 Proxy, Datacenter IPv4 Proxy, IPv6 Proxy), the proxy list in the delivery file is provided by default in the following format:

ip:port:username:password

Example:

185.123.45.67:8080:user12345:pass67890

This format is directly suitable for use in most software and platforms and contains all the information needed for proxy connection in a single line:

  • IP Address: The IP address of the proxy server
  • Port: The port number to be used for connection
  • Username: Username for authentication
  • Password: Password for authentication

Why is a Different Format Needed?

Some software, bots, scraping tools, or automation platforms accept proxy information in different formats. For example:

  • Some tools only support the username:password@ip:port format
  • Some platforms require ip:port and username:password information in separate fields
  • Some software expects a simplified format like username:ip
  • E-commerce bots or social media tools may use custom format templates

How is Format Conversion Done?

The LivaProxy customer support team can convert your delivery file to any format you desire. The process steps are as follows:

1. Creating a Support Request

You can create a request from your customer panel or our WhatsApp support line (after ordering). In your request, you should specify:

  • The format template you need (e.g., username:ip, username:password@ip:port)
  • Which service you want the format change for (order number or service name)
  • The software or platform you'll be using (optional, but helps us recommend the correct format)

2. Processing by the Team

After our support team receives your request, they will convert your proxy list to the desired format and provide you with the new delivery file. This process is usually completed quickly.

3. Downloading the File in the New Format

The converted format can be downloaded from the "Download" button on your service management page or via the link sent to you.

Commonly Used Format Examples

Format Type Example Use Case
Default Format ip:port:username:password Most software and platforms
Simple Format username:ip Some automation tools
Standard Proxy Format username:password@ip:port Browser extensions, curl commands
Separated Format ip:port (username:password in separate file) Systems requiring manual configuration
URL Format http://username:password@ip:port API requests, web scraping tools

Manual Format Conversion (On Your Own)

If you have technical knowledge and want to change the format quickly, you can convert it yourself using the following methods:

With Excel or Google Sheets

Open the delivery file in Excel and split the columns (using the Text to Columns feature) to recombine them in your desired order.

With Online Tools

You can quickly convert formats using online tools like "Proxy format converter."

With Python or Scripts

Those with programming knowledge can perform bulk format conversion by writing a simple Python script.

Automatic Delivery and Format

LivaProxy services are delivered automatically. After your order is completed, you can download your delivery file from your customer panel. However, if you have a special format request before ordering, it would be helpful to specify it in the order notes section.

Rotating Proxy and Mobile Proxy Format Differences

In Rotating Proxy and Mobile Proxy services, the connection format is generally fixed because these services operate through a single connection point (endpoint):

  • Rotating Proxy: Fixed hostname/IP and port, different IP rotates with each request
  • Mobile Proxy: Fixed connection details, IP is renewed via reset API or connection

For these types of services, the need for format conversion is generally less, but if username and password information needs to be entered in a different order, you can still get help from our support team.

Important Considerations After Format Change

  • Connection Test: Always test your proxy information in the new format
  • Software Compatibility: Make sure your software correctly recognizes the format
  • Security: Store files containing your proxy information securely
  • Backup: Keep the original delivery file as well, you can use it if needed

24/7 Support

Whenever you have any questions or requests about format conversion, our support team is at your service 24/7. You can create a support request from your customer panel or get instant help via our WhatsApp support line.

Format change is completely free and is offered as part of your service.
