When using Rotating IPv6 Proxy services, different authentication methods can be preferred to ensure connection security. Users sometimes want to add an extra security layer by using the IP whitelist feature, but not all proxy types support this feature.

Whitelist Support in Rotating IPv6 Proxy

In our Rotating IPv6 Proxy services, IP whitelist feature is not supported. This is directly related to the structural characteristics and operational logic of rotating proxies. Since rotating proxy systems return a different IP address with each request, applying whitelist-based security over a fixed source IP address is not technically feasible.

Rotating IPv6 Proxy Authentication Method

In our Rotating IPv6 Proxy services, authentication is provided through username and password (username:password) method. This method allows you to configure your proxy connection securely and offers flexible usage without requiring any IP restrictions.

Connection Example with Username and Password

When connecting to your Rotating IPv6 Proxy service, you authenticate in the following format:

• Proxy Type: HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5
• Proxy Server: rotating-ipv6.livaproxy.com (or your custom assigned hostname)
• Port: Your custom assigned port number
• Username: Your account-specific username

In many software and platforms, this information is entered directly when configuring proxy settings. Example connection string format:

Why Isn't Whitelist Supported in Rotating Proxy Services?

In rotating proxy structure, a dynamically different exit IP address is used with each request. In this system:

• Even if the source IP address connecting to the proxy server remains static, the IP making the internet exit constantly changes
• Random selection is made from a pool of thousands of different IP addresses
• IP whitelist logic is incompatible with the rotating structure as it requires a fixed source-destination IP relationship
• Username and password authentication provides a more secure and flexible solution for this dynamic structure

Usage in IP:Port Format

If the software or platform you're using only supports IP:Port format and doesn't allow username-password entry, unfortunately our Rotating IPv6 Proxy services may not be compatible with such software. In this case, the following alternatives can be considered:

• Static IPv6 Proxy: Provides IP:Port format usage with whitelist support
• ISP IPv4 Proxy: Offers static IP structure and whitelist support
• Datacenter IPv4 Proxy: Economical static IP solution with whitelist capability
